There is snow on Mount Buller and the lake is raising, This 4 bedroom house has all the views and is located 500 meters from the water at Lake Eildon. With elevated views, this house has all the luxuries of home. You could move in here for three months, all you need is your food and linen. The bedrooms will sleep 10 people, and there are two double sofa beds in the lounge. It’s a shoes off house, which keeps it real clean inside. The carpet is freshly steam cleaned. In summer you are 500 meters from the water, in winter you are 30 minutes from the gates at Buller, Mansfield is 20 minutes away. There are boat ramps at Goughs Bay and they are all free. Goughs Bay Lodge is equipped as a home. The two double bedrooms upstairs share a common ensuite. One of the rooms has stunning views to the lake. Downstairs there are two more bedrooms each with a double bed, and a single bunk above, once again the room to the front of the house has lake views. All beds are fitted with electric blankets, and each room has reverse cycle air-conditioning and TV’s. The Lounge has a wood heater, smart TV with 4 sets of 3d Glasses and leather couches that will seat 12. The dining area is set up to seat 8 people. The deck is a great place to relax with an outdoor setting for eight, a gourmet 5 buner gas BBQ you will be able to watch the sunset over the lake and enjoy some friendship into the night. There is a carport with a large deck above which is adjacent to the kitchen. This large entertainment area will be the focus of many summer nights and has an outdoor setting. If you are having a group larger than this you might consider bringing out the fold up table that is kept inside. Snobs Creek Eco Retreat near Eildon is a perfect base for your boating, cycling, motorcycling or hunting expeditions, or just for a completely private escape. For smaller groups or families ‘Snobs Creek Cottage’ is available, while larger groups are catered for with the nine bed ‘Gun Club’. Snobs Creek Cottage is a completely refurbished two-bedroom cottage complete with reverse cycle air-conditioning, instantaneous gas hot water supplying the bathroom and kitchen, complete with new gas oven. In short, it has all the mod cons and is attractively furnished and extremely comfortable. The Gun Club is more what we call ‘five star camping’. This completely private open plan dwelling has beds for nine with an extra fold out mattress bringing the catered accommodation to ten. Larger groups can swag within the building as there is ample space. There is an external toilet but no running water inside the building, no shower or hot water system. However, there is a Coonara wood fired heater with wood provided, pool table, Gas BBQ. A generator is provided for lighting etc. with one tank of fuel provided. Great cycling around Lake Eildon (both on and off road) right from the front gate of the property. We can point you to some great road rides such as Eildon-Jamieson Rd, Skyline Road or from the property you can climb over 1200m in less than 15km on your MTB. Quite often without seeing another soul, let alone a car. We can also offer a drop-off or pick up service should you want to embark on an epic one-way ride back to base camp. We know plenty of good cycling loops in the area first hand. If you want to get a little hard core we can show you a nice quiet little 120km road loop with over 3000m of climbing. Or you could take in the Great Victorian Rail Trail. Snobs Creek Eco Retreat is located on a sealed road with a sealed driveway. There is also a large hardstand area to park your boat and vehicles. Tariff – Snobs Creek Cottage – $220 per night for up to four people with bedding included. The Gun Club – $180 per night for up to four people with each extra person tariffed at $25 a head per night. The company was born in 1999 as CE Network, a hobby for Managing Director James Anderson. CE Network was responsible for the development and delivery of lakeeildon.com, the number one tourism network for Lake Eildon and the surrounding areas. Soon after commencement, CE Network began providing website design and hosting services for a slew of local businesses. James Anderson then broke into the commercial radio industry, working for Sun FM at Mt. Buller for two seasons before moving to capital city radio as an announcer for Triple M Melbourne and Sydney, as well the host of the nationally syndicated radio show Planet Rock. While at Triple M, James earned the stage name “Turbo”, and hosted such events as the Coca-Cola Live and Local Tour (Sydney Superdome) and the M-One Music Concert (Melbourne’s Etihad Stadium). After reaching the number one ranking in the ratings in 2006, James opted to leave radio and explore his other love of video production. He took a job in the United States as the Video Manager at the International Olympic Gymnastics Training Centre. Upon returning to Melbourne in 2008, James changed the name of CE Network to Turbo Productions, and added video production to the list of services that were provided, revitalising the business and taking the Melbourne video production market by storm. Turbo Productions is now a leading provider for wedding videos in Melbourne and the South Pacific region, and also provides a wide range of production services for private, corporate and entertainment purposes.
