Tips & Advice

  • A Victorian Recreational Fishing Licence is required for all anglers 18 and over
  • Best trout fishing is during cooler months (April-October)
  • Murray cod season runs December 1 to August 31
  • Early morning and late evening are prime fishing times
  • Try trolling for trout along the dam wall and deeper channels
  • Shore fishing at Eildon Pondage is excellent for families
